Requirements

• No formal education is required; a basic knowledge of English is enough

• Age between 18-30 years

• Applicants should travel alone and cannot deliver family participants

• Sponsored by a Temporary Activities Sponsor (TAS) authorized through DFAT

Duties

• Harvesting fruit from fields and orchards

• The culmination of sorting and packing, separating damaged parts

• Application of labels and weighing of fruit cartons

• Performing manual duties along with growing, pruning, and pruning apple trees

• Protection of orchards such as weeding, raking, and cleaning

• Manipulating ladders and loading picked fruit into boxes

• Some pickers may require pressure motors to deliver products to packing houses
