Our work covers; Mental, Neurological and Substance Use Disorders (MNS); Child Care and Protection; Gender-Based Violence Prevention and Mitigation; HIV/AIDS Prevention, Care and Support; Disaster Risk Prevention and Response; livelihood support; and, Organizational Development and Sustainability.
Over the years, TPO Uganda has grown into a respectable National NGO with a demonstrable track record in up to 46 Districts spread across seven sub-regions as at May 2024.
Job Description
TPO Uganda is now seeking applications for the following position under the Project; \Uganda Comprehensive Refugee Health Program (RECOP)\"with funding from BPRM-USAID.
Duties and Responsibilities
This role is responsible for routine and basic accounting work involving carrying out initial data entry, sorting documents, filing and keeping custody of accounting and financial transaction records. The role supports the Accountant to implement effective and efficient financial controls within the context of the country strategy as well as the finance team objectives, financial regulations, policies and standard operating procedures. The position holder will also be expected to prepare and present reports as per TPO reporting guidelines and schedule.

Financial Reporting
Cash flow management
Participate and assist in the TPO's year-end audit- schedules
Qualifications and Experience
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or a relevant field from a recognized university
Professional accounting qualification desirable
Quality and relevant experience in finance and accountancy in a in a major organization
IT literate and excellent knowledge and skills in using computer-based Accounting systems and Microsoft Excel and Word packages.
Knowledge of government policies and regulations on financial management and taxation
Communication skills
Analytical skills
Interpersonal skills
Attention to detail
Ability to multi-task
Planning and organizing skills
Knowledge of statutory and tax regulations
